Nestled in rich greenery, Litoria Mission Beach AirBnB is stylish and open and full of modern features. Polished concrete is featured everywhere - even the benchtops and vanities are concrete! It also has a palm and tree frog theme running throughout it which truly embraces the tropics. Perfect for your stay at the tropical sanctuary that is Mission Beach.

My partner, Rob, described the kitchen as ‘the dream kitchen’ with everything you need to host a dinner party, or just keep a family of four (with two teens) happy. Plenty of bench space and a separate outside area for entertaining with a BBQ, it really is an entertainer’s dream.

Hidden under one of the benches was a whole lotta board games which is just what you want to stop you going stir crazy during Mission Beach's ‘Green’ Season (ie. wet).

Although if you’re holed up in Litoria's Mission Beach AirBnB you’d be especially happy because they’ve created the most amazing inside/outside areas that take into account the amount of rain that they can get in the region.

Charlie and I were happy to make the most of their pin throwing game Finska (created in Finland) in the backyard under the big mango tree. The place had some really great spaces and we were sad we didn't bring our 1 year old kelpie because it's PET FRIENDLY. That's right! Something you don't get in most AirBnB's.

Both bathrooms in each pod look out into a garden full of greenery and with a rain shower in one of them you get the feeling you’re showering in the great outdoors.

The thing that really stood out for me (apart from all the tropical colours and fittings) was that the place was spotless and really functional.

It was definitely a welcome relief to return here after exploring Mission Beach, particularly with the humidity of the summer months when we stayed.

We found lots of nooks and crannies to hang out and chill after a BIG day out PLUS the airconditioning came in handy.

  • You’ll find crocodile signs on all beaches around the Far North and crocodiles may be present in the ocean. The time to be aware of crocodiles is at night and during their breeding season, September to April. As TNQ locals, we prefer swimming at the beach during the winter months – crocodiles are less inclined to be ‘on the move’, less ‘hungry’ and more sluggish in general. NOTE: this is only our opinion – please make your decisions based on your own knowledge and facts of the area. For a good article on Crocs Click HERE.

  • Stinger (jellyfish) season is generally from November through to May. Click HERE for more information. Mission Beach has stinger nets and lifeguards on duty at this time of year. There are stinger net swimming enclosures on the Cassowary Coast at North Mission and South Mission Beach.
