Travel Gear Bargains – Cheap Luggage Sets Online (sponsored)

How are you set up for your next journey?

Are you in that lucky position to have a number of good travel bags at your disposal and all your travel accessories ready to go, passports sorted and a great pet sitter on call. OR are you like me? Totally unprepared BUT ready to wing it at a moments notice. If you ticked the latter then I may have stumbled across a solution for both you and me…

Are you ready to ‘fly’ at any moment

Are you ready to ‘fly’ at any moment

Thanks to my year of being ‘very’ active on Social Media channels I’ve managed to WIN myself a couple of really good pieces of travel luggage. Up until this moment though, I was still packing things into old cases, backpacks and duffel bags that were tragically falling apart at the seams through neglect.I quite happily put up with this because:

  1. We were only really travelling to nearby ‘family-friendly’ places (ie. camping).

  2. I believed we couldn’t afford any of those brand new ‘sparkly’ luggage sets.

Who needs good bags when you’re just throwing them into the back of a ute…..

Thankfully, as luck would have it, over my last year of blogging and social media campaigning about family travels and adventures up in Tropical North Queensland I’ve acquired some fairly classy baggage:

  1. A Crumpler Vis-a-Vis cabin bag (AUS $445)

  2. A COAST canvas bag (NZ $339)

Both of these bags have become indispensable during our travel adventures this year:

The Crumpler bag has an awesome compression system……and it allows me to shove ‘loads’ in

  1. The Crumpler bag and its awesome compression system has proven great for carry-on luggage.

  2. The Coast Bag and its tough canvas exterior is the best for weekend escapes with the family.

The COAST bag has proved to be a ‘hardy’ Weekender option

BUT don’t fret if you’re wondering how you, as a traveller may be able to afford something similar to these classy bags - I have just stumbled across a great website for travellers like me who are keen to save their pennies up to spend on experiences and don’t want to waste big bucks on all the necessary items required for travelling.

It’s……. Drum Roll please………. “Luggage Direct” - A website that’s totally devoted to travel gear that will give you, the traveller, some great bargains - such as cheap luggage sets (on top quality brands), discounts on travel insurance AND a wide selection of travel accessories at below retail price.

As I’ve surfed the Luggage Direct website I’ve realised it’s a great spot to pick up quality bags at ‘budget’ prices (a key word for travellers like myself). AND the added bonus is that you don’t have to step inside a shopping mall to hunt down the bargains.

I’m much happier and in my element if I can give the BIG shopping centres a BIG miss (particularly at this time of year) and pick up savings via a click of a button. Dodging the crowds and spending more time outdoors gets a big thumbs up in my books (just wish housecleaning was this easy).

I know where I’d rather spend my time (& it isn’t inside a shopping mall)

So now that I have all my luggage requirements would I still use Luggage Direct? Hell yes!! I have just checked out their travel accessories page and there’s a tonne of things I would like….. Mainly:

  1. Luggage scales

  2. A travel pillow

  3. Clear toiletry bottles (for carry-on)

  4. iPad holder

It’s easy to make sure you’ve got everything you need before your next plane journey

It’s easy to make sure you’ve got everything you need before your next plane journey

Every time I hop on a plane to go somewhere (and its been twice this year…something of a world record for me since I turned a mum) I realise how much easier it would’ve been if I had had some of the items on my list above. And personally, as I spend no time near shops (or as little time as possible) I never get the opportunity to pick any of these items up.

So now I have my list and the Luggage Direct web link……there’s no longer any excuse for me to just ‘wing it’ on my next travel adventure and spend loads of unnecessary $$$.
