Insider Guide to Cairns – 6 Local Tips from Sam at Cairns ZOOm

We LOVE Cairns ZOOM - so much so that the kids have membership cards and we can pop along and let them 'swing' on the high ropes (and dangle over the 4m crocodile) anytime we want.

It seems Goliath the croc doesn’t appreciate Sam’s Air Guitar rendition!!

Every time we visit we seem to always bump into Sam, who's the ZOOm Team Leader and our kids Number One choice for when they do the Power Jump and the Dome Climb.

So of course we had to hit Sam up for his Insider Guide on the top places to visit around Cairns as a local. Here are his answers........

1. Why Cairns?

'Why not? It’s the Adventure Capital of Australia - The Reef meets the Rainforest! Having the Daintree and the Great Barrier Reef as a playground make this a very special place."

You can’t beat a place where the rainforest meets the reef (Noah Beach, Daintree)

6. If money is no object?

"Helicopter tours over the Tablelands and Daintree to the secret waterfalls I’ve heard are here somewhere, chilling out afterwards at Lizard Island Resort or if I need a whole island to myself then Double Island Resort."

Where can we find you?

Hanging precariously amongst the ropes courses at Cairns Zoom and Wildlife Dome on top of the Casino.

Once again you've heard it straight from a local's mouth - Sam from Cairns ZOOm.

According to him you can't beat dangling over the top of a massive croc - failing that you can always escape to one of his favourite nature spots around the Tropical North.

What are your thoughts? Any of these Cairns TNQ HOT Spots on your list already??
