I’m Kate (Click HERE to read more about me) and this is my family – Rob, Josh (11 yrs) and Charlie (9 yrs) and you might even spot our dog Scooter (7 yrs) at times. We LOVE living in Tropical North Queensland, Australia.

If you’re after ideas for Family Adventures around the Far North then look no further. Come on a journey with us and discover popular (and not so well known) spots around the TNQ region.

Rob and I have lived and worked in the Cairns region for over 30 years. We met on the Reef Boats over 20 years ago – Rob was a Chef and I was an Activities Coordinator. As I continued to work on the Reef I found a passion for filming and photographing underwater. The passion also lead to writing articles and I have been published in Inside Sport, Sunday Mail, Cairns Post, Kite Boarding and Diver Magazines, as well as Parenting Magazines.

Rob and I have also spent time overseas – NZ, Japan, South Korea, Canada, USA, UK, Europe, and even Antarctica BUT our hearts have always remained in the Tropics. The climate, the friendly and easy-going locals, the vibrancy and the beauty of Tropical North Queensland have made it the right place to raise our young family.

Our kid’s lives so far have been rich with experiences – waterskiing, kayaking, tubing, horse-riding, ATV riding, fishing, camping – all thanks to living in Tropical North Queensland. They’ve enjoyed the magic of the Great Barrier Reef, the diversity of ancient rainforests and experienced the starkness of the Australian Outback, all just a few minutes or hours away from our home-base in Cairns.

This website is here to show you what a wonderful adventure playground the Far North truly is, and that it’s here for everybody to enjoy, whatever age or nationality you may be.

If you’re visiting the region and have some questions then please fire away.
